Privacy Policy — WP AI Agent

1. Who we are

WP AI Agent is operated by DEXTERN Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). Our service is accessible at wplugin.ai. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at our contact page.

2. What data we collect

When you use WP AI Agent, the following data is collected:

WordPress domain — the domain you register with, used to identify your account and validate your license key.
Email address — collected if you provide it during checkout or support contact. Not required for registration.
Chat messages — the natural language instructions you type into the chat widget are transmitted to our backend and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Messages are not stored beyond what is needed to serve your request.
Site context — to fulfil your requests, the plugin may send relevant WordPress data to our backend (e.g. a list of installed plugins, the content of a post you asked about, a WooCommerce product). This data is used only to generate your response and is not retained.
Token usage — we record how many tokens your account consumes each day. This is used to enforce your plan quota and display usage statistics to you.
Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. We receive transaction confirmation and your email from Stripe after a successful payment.

3. Third-party services

Your chat messages and site context are sent to Anthropic (claude.ai) to generate AI responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

4. How we use your data

To authenticate your license key and enforce your plan quota
To process your AI requests via Anthropic's Claude API
To manage your subscription and process payments
To respond to support requests
To send transactional emails (license key delivery, payment confirmation) — we do not send marketing emails without your consent

5. Data retention

Token usage records are retained for 12 months. Chat message content is not stored on our servers beyond what is required to forward your request to Anthropic and return the response. If you delete your account, your domain, token records, and any stored email are deleted within 30 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This site uses a session cookie for authentication (admin login) and a CSRF protection token. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were made. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
